RFI:
White-Label ATMs

Publication Date: 12/05/2023

As part of the its commitment to financial inclusion, the Banking Association South Africa (BASA) Cash Strategy Committee (CSC) is undertaking a strategic initiative that strikes a compromise between advancing the transition to a more digital economy and efficiently managing cash.

The BASA CSC White Label ATM project aims to, among others, contribute to the sustainability of cash in South Africa by creating a cost-effective, and efficient ATM solution, which also helps meet accessibility targets set out in the Financial Sector Code.

Most cash in South Africa is accessed through the South African ATM infrastructure and, importantly, is crucial to the pay-out of social and other grants, necessitating high operational resilience over short periods of time.

The purpose of this request for information (RFI) is to gain insights and input on solutions and potential respondents for the provision of White Labelled ATMs across South Africa.
